From Mel to Melody: Finding My Voice and Claiming My Inner Power

Writer: Melody Morris GaynorMelody Morris Gaynor

This morning, I found myself slipping back into some old habits of doubting myself. I was feeling a bit lost when I stumbled upon an old recording – a letter I wrote to myself, and other women from years ago, back when I was just 6 months or so into my journey of finding my most authentic self and healing from all the old pain stories that came from my past experiences. When I found the recording I was sitting drawn up in the fetal position hugging my knees, physically shrinking myself as much as I could. As I listened, a wave of pride washed over me. I had forgotten so many details about who I was back then, about "Mel," the photographer afraid to take up space, struggling with self-worth, and hiding behind the camera. I immediately responded by stretching out and taking up more space, instantly feeling better about myself and what had been worrying me.

Open Letter to Myself & Other Women

For those who prefer a quick synopsis, here's the essence of the recording:

Years ago, I was a photographer and I called myself "Mel" – I was afraid to be seen, struggled with self-worth, and who hid behind the camera. I lived with a constant fear of lack, an inability to set boundaries, and a deep desire to be invisible.

Something changed for me the day of that recording. I became acutely aware of how much I had changed and grown in 6 short months.

As I listened to my younger self this morning, I remembered how much I've grown from "Mel" who desperately desired invisibility, to who I am today. Melody, the tall poppy! A powerful woman with a voice and a mission and the courage to walk my own path regardless of what others think or say.

And that's what I want for you, too.

Maybe you recognize yourself in the story of "Mel." Maybe you've experienced fear of visibility, struggles with pricing and boundaries, difficulty in promoting yourself and your business. These are all too common for women entrepreneurs, and they often stem from a deeper disconnect from our innate inner power.

But what if you could rewrite your story? What if you could tap into the strength and wisdom that already reside within you? What if you could reach down into the inner recesses of your own spirit and find strength beyond what you can even imagine?

Through my own experiences with energy work, mindset work, and nervous system regulation, I discovered that true healing is an inside job. It's about tending to the garden of your soul, nurturing the seeds of your authentic self.

That's why I created my Medicine Wheel Mentorship. It's a journey of self-discovery and healing, where you'll learn to:

  • Embrace your voice: So you can speak your truth with confidence and clarity.

  • Claim your power: To step into your leadership and create a business that reflects your values.

  • Heal old wounds: Release all the pain stories of the past and create space for joy and abundance.

  • Connect with your intuition: Trusting your inner wisdom and making decisions that align with your soul.

Here's something special: The Mentorship class beginning in May 2025 will be the last one held in my home, at a lower price point than future classes. It's an intimate setting, designed for deep connection and expansion.

If you're ready to shed the layers of fear and doubt, embrace your true voice, and step into your full potential, I invite you to join me in May. To find out more please use this link.
